Ghana University Indefinite Strike

University students anticipate the return of their lecturers after they embarked on an indefinite strike.

The action by university teachers in Ghana entered week five, but the decision on whether the industrial action is over or not is not yet clear.

Despite the fact that Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, the ranking member on the education committee in parliament, revealed that UTAG leadership agreed to call off the strike, UTAG stated that they would first consult their members before making any decision.

The education committee, after the meeting, said they hoped that university lecturers would return to class on the 21st of February 2022.
