But medical health experts have given more information on the things which you could do to prevent bad breath, gum disease, tooth decay, and other mouth problems.

Do not rinse your mouth immediately after you brush your teeth.
The UK National Health Service advised that after you finish brushing your teeth, you should spit out the excess toothpaste but do not rinse your mouth immediately.
The reason is that doing that would remove the remaining concentrated fluoride that is in toothpaste and would reduce the amount of work it does.
Do not use a toothpick to remove food from your teeth.
The NHS has advised that people should not use toothpicks to remove food which is stuck between teeth.
This is because it might affect the gums, which might lead to infection.
Their advice is to use interdental brushes if you have a gap between your teeth, and flossing could also do it.
Flossing might reduce bad breath.
Flossing is when you use a thread like thing called floss in the area of your teeth near your gums, which is where food gets stuck.
It is good to remove food which has been stuck in your teeth, but the NHS recommends that regular flossing is good for your mouth as it reduces gum disease and bad breath.
This is as it removes the plaque that forms at the gum line.
